About the LIWA

Long Island Woodturners Association is a chapter of the American Association of Woodturners.  Our purpose is to foster a wider interest and appreciation of the art of woodturning on Long Island and in the surrounding boroughs of NY City.

Usually meetings are held in the cafeteria of the Main Building of Old Bethpage Restoration Village but during the pandemic the meetings are on Zoom.  Invitations are emailed to all club members.

Old Bethpage Restoration Village is part of Nassau County Parks and Recreation system and is located at:

1303 Round Swamp Road Old Bethpage, NY 11804

Our meeting are held in the cafeteria of the Main Building (NOT the big barn).

Our meeting time will be from 9 am (open at 8:15ish) to 12 pm.

Please check the schedule of events as some meeting dates occasionally change.

If you wish to attend a meeting take the L.I.E. (Rt 495) to Exit 48 (Round Swamp Road). Head South on Round Swamp Road.  The entrance to OBVR is on the left (East side) of Round Swamp Road.
